Snow Day with Blue Skies!

Snow Day with Blue Skies

Our first snow day of the season was marvelous! We decided to go easy and hit up Snow Bunny Park. The snow in the morning was hard as rock, but as the day progressed, it softened and kids enjoyed it more and more. It did feel like a “beach day,” where adults could lounge around in lawn chairs and enjoy each other’s company. Parents also got up on the hill and did some sledding.

During lunch we paused to consider the many lessons snow brings us. From Isaiah 1 where it famously says that our scarlet sins are made white as snow; to how many faith refugees had to flee to the snow-capped mountains, and how we may be like them someday. Are we prepared? All the fun we can have in life is good–as long as we are focused on Christ and ready to live and to die for Him.

Looking forward to upcoming snow days!
