Indoor rock climbing at its best! Adventure Days’ families, within the context of a loving community, tripled their rock climbing time in one day as they enjoyed climbing with friends. What we planned for to be one hour, turned out to be three. Kids climbed multiple routes. Some kids skipped lunch. Some raced each other up the wall. Young ones accomplished reaching the top of their wall for the first time in their lives. Families gathered to talk about God as our rock and Jesus as our rope.
This was the first of our three-week rock-climbing series. It’s a great winter option that simulates what we want to do outside. Being at The Source Climbing Center was new to us, but we achieved critical mass and felt like it was worth it. For some of our parents however, the financial challenges did not allow them to take the leap into this recreational adventure for their kids.
The Highest Education community wants to be a true community–of family care and intentional spiritual growth. Let’s “grab the next handhold” in ministering to each other’s needs so that we progress upward, like Jesus wants us to!
