Discussion Questions:

  1. A young woman named Mindy was being who she thought she was when she tried to sell her body. The man she was with valued her for much more than she had a vision of who she was. The question is not “who am I by myself,” the question is “who am I in God’s eyes?” Who are you in God’s eyes?

  2. In Psalm 139:-1-3, David says you were fine-tuned and crafted to only experience love. You were not designed to experience anger, rejection, bullying, or to be marginalized by a group. What are violation wounds? What are vacancy wounds?

  3. Though we are born with all of our potential, we begin to live out the relationships around us and we are emotionally injured. The potential you received gets covered with shame. We begin to project a false sense of self and develop addictions and obsessions.  But what is the opposite of addiction?

  4. In Psalm 139:13 David says that God gets involved in the womb stage. He gives everyone a set of potentials that are built into their initial personality composition. What gifts or positive attributes has God given you?

  5. The only way to raise children is with a vision of their potential and not a lot of emphasis on their failures. What words can you say to your children to give them a vision of their potential?
