Basket Chains Sounds of Success

“My aim is to know him, and to experience the power of His resurrection.” Philippians 3:10

Our aim was off!
As beginner disc golfers, most Highest Education co-op participants were not close to hitting par. Discs landed in the brush, discs hit trees, and one got stuck on a roof. But the good news is that we were actually trying–at the Glenwood Disc Golf Course in Vancouver, WA. And thanks to David Gasser, a local realtor and disc golf instructor, our aim improved!

When Paul said...
…“my aim is to know him,” he was actively hurling his life into God’s basket. He later said, “Not that I have already attained, but I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Playing disc golf is a great way to experience...
…“the perfect balance of community, competition and fun.” But more than this, it is a great illustration of God’s goal for each of us. Like a disc golf saucer is captured by the chains of a basket, may our aim be to be captured by the chains of God! May our lives be on par with Christ.
“Now that you have been freed from sin and become chained to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.” Romans 6:22 -revised-
