John Bunyan (1628-1688) was an English preacher and writer. While imprisoned for preaching the Gospel without receiving permission from the Established Church, he wrote The Pilgrim’s Progress. It became one of the most important christian allegories in modern history, now it  is a timeless christian classic. It helps people like you understand how to grow with God and how to endure past trials and temptations.

Discussion Questions:

  1. Why was John Bunyan in prison when he wrote the book?

  2. What is the general storyline of the Pilgrim’s Progress? Read a summary here.

  3. Who were some of the people of the Pilgrim’s Progress?

  4. What are some of the places of the Pilgrim’s Progress? Review this handout to find out.
